On May 17, IPCA President Amy Brown sat down with artist Debra Ryan for an informal video chat. She recorded the conversation so it could be shared with the polymer community at large.

About Debra

Debra Ryan is a self-taught polymer clay artist in the Atlanta area. Debra has lived and traveled to  many places due to her husband's job in the US Navy.

Her love of travel and learning about other cultures shows up in her art with her Spirit People. She makes the face, hands and feet from polymer clay and adorns them with beads and fabrics from her collections.

Debra enjoyed making the jewelry for her Spirit People that she decided she needed to make some pieces for herself. You can see more of Debra's art on Instagram @orphancakes.
