IPCA Governance: Executive and Regional Board Nominations

Elections LogoWe are proud to announce the IPCA elections for 2017, we have updated all of the descriptions for the positions on the Executive Board and for the Regional Boards.

The IPCA bylaws state that we are to hold elections every two years. The newly elected officers will be taking office at the beginning of April 2017. All three boards will have elections for each position. You may only apply for one position in all and must be able to speak and understand English. Elected Officers receive complimentary IPCA memberships while serving on a Board. They are expected to attend monthly meetings, conducted mainly by conference calls. At least one meeting a year will be by video conferencing. Officers must have daily access to e-mail for business and planning between calls. Executive Officers will mentor and advise their counterparts on the Regional Boards. All three in each position will talk and correspond regularly to maintain cohesion in the Association.

Our volunteers are the life blood of the IPCA and we thank everyone who has helped us grow, including Officers and event teams. Applications will be open until midnight EST on Sunday, the 26th February 2017 and we’ll publish the questionnaires to support the voting from Saturday, the 4th March 2017 through the 18th March 2017.

We hope to receive applications from all parts of the regions. Even if you’re thousands of miles away from Europe, or North America, you can join in the monthly calls and help shape the future of the IPCA where ever you live!
