Laura Tabakman's classes in Asheville

Laura Tabakman will be teaching at the Blue Ridge Polymer Clay Guild

April 22 and 23, 2017 in North Carolina

Translucent canes
- April 22, 2017

Tabakman-translucent canes lwrs

Explore the subtle beauty of translucent polymer clay. The semitransparent quality of this material can be utilized to add depth to your work, or be finished to a glass-like surface. Take advantage of these properties during the workshop to create translucent-based canes with an organic feel and assemble them into jewelry.

Woven wire brooch
- April 23, 2017

Tabakman-woven brooch lwrs2

In this class students will learn how to use wire to weave a basket-like pod. We will also be working on a series of organic elements that will then be combined to construct a brooch or a pendant.

Polyform very generously will be providing polymer clay for this class.
