About the Artist: Lorrene Baum-Davis
Lorrene has been making art her entire life. She began by creating drawings with crayons on the wall, to owning an art gallery with her husband, Phil, up to teaching and presenting seminars at art conferences. She is happiest being a maker in her studio with show tunes playing as she picks cat hairs out of the clays. She lives in Placerville, CA with her two cats and has an abundance of artistic extended 'family' friends. As the professor sang in Voltaire's CANDIDE, "I do have the best of all possible worlds." Graduated from the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts as a Goldsmith 1988. Is an Art Clay World Master Instructor emeritus. Winner of multiple awards in metal clay. Taught Polymer Clay workshops. Winner of multiple awards in polymer clay. Designs with fused glass. Is a metalsmith. Is an enamellist.
