Jana Roberts Benzon Laser Cut Technique Workshop

Sat. 31 Jul, 2010 5:00 am - Sun. 1 Aug, 2010 7:59 pm

July 31-Aug 1, Bakersfield California (In a very nicely air conditioned conference room)

Come join Jana for two days filled with ‘out of the box’ polymer education, plus fun, relaxation and laughs.  There are so many interesting, unique and exciting patterns and components that can be created using my Laser Cut technique.  During our workshop, we’ll spend the first day, and part of day two, exploring some of the different ways to create these Laser Cut components…..you’ll have plenty of personal time to experiment and relax into that wonderful “polymer creating zone” (you know, the one where the world falls away J).  Then, (on day two), with your newly created Laser Cut components, you’ll fashion a beautiful pendant (or two, plus earrings and more if there is time).

Sat. 14 Aug, 2010 6:00 am - Sun. 15 Aug, 2010 7:59 pm

Workshop with Laurie Mika

Mixed Media Mosaic Icons

August 14 -15, 2010

Sponsored by:  Houston Polymer Clay Guild

Please join us for an intensive, technique driven workshop creating mixed media mosaics using polymer clay. In creating our “Icons”, students will learn a variety of overlapping techniques that include: mosaic design, painting, rubber stamping, collage, embossing, beading, and embedding just about anything into polymer clay.  The result will be a personal and beautiful icon that can be hung on the wall or displayed on a plate stand. Techniques learned in this class can also be used to make jewelry.

This will be a hands-on workshop where students will get the experience of making and baking their own tiles and component parts. No previous clay experience is required, so come join the fun!

For more information/sign up go to http://www.houstonpolyclay.org or contact Patricia Daugherty at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
