    Cruiser pendant

The pendant is a part of my "To boldy go where no cats have gone before..." collection. It measures 8x5 cm, it's hollow inside and cord is fed around a little roundabout in the center of the pendant. It's completely made of polymer clay.

    What goes around, Comes around

The idea for the piece was to do a piece what celebrates clay itself in a minimalistic but still in a bold way, answering the question of what would Enterprise's female heroine would wear. The collar style necklace is hinged in the back and has a magnet under the red piece in front as a clasp, so it's easy to dress on.

The collar is aproxematly 6cm wide in the front, and 2cm in the back. Besides the pin in the hinge and magnet, it's all clay (Kato).

    SUCCULENTS NECKLACE

This is my second piece of work using polymer clay.

While working on my first piece, “Tree of Life”, I discovered the tantalising translucent effects possible with polymer clay. I wanted to create a piece of sculpture in that style.

Separately I had seen some beautiful succulents growing from a medieval stone wall in the town where we live in France. That became my subject.

The perfect opportunity arose when I needed a necklace “to boldly go” with a new outfit and so I sculpted my Succulents Necklace in my new favourite medium.

    Materials: Polymer Clay, Metal Chain

    Dimensions: 8.5cm x 3.5cm (3 inches x 1 inch)

    Curvaceous Necklace

This freeform "quilling" style is a new tangent from the quilled polymer I've done in the past, as I explore the idea of pairing different lengths of strips together to create freeform and sometimes unpredictable shapes. The bold curves are constructed with skinner blended strips of Premo polymer, accented with 2 rounded polymer beads and a chunky polymer toggle clasp. The beading that goes around the back of the neck is glass seed beads. All components are strung on beadalon wire.

The necklace measures about 20" in length, with the polymer focal components measuring 9" across the width of the necklace.

    S-curves Necklace

This freeform "quilling" style is a new tangent from the quilled polymer I've done in the past, as I explore the idea of pairing different lengths of strips together to create freeform and sometimes unpredictable shapes. The asymmetrical S shaped curves are constructed with skinner blended strips of Premo polymer, accented with 5 rounded polymer beads and a spiral polymer toggle clasp. The beading that goes around the back of the neck is glass seed beads. All components are strung on beadalon wire.

The necklace measures about 20" in length, with the polymer focal components measuring approximately 4" across the width of the necklace and 3" in length.

    Galaxy Pendant Necklace

This freeform "quilling" style is a new tangent from the quilled polymer I've done in the past, as I explore the idea of pairing different lengths of strips together to create freeform and sometimes unpredictable shapes. The asymmetrical pendant's curves are constructed with skinner blended strips of Premo polymer, accented with 2 rounded polymer beads and a spiral polymer toggle clasp. Hints of silver glitter highlight areas of the pendant. The beading that goes around the back of the neck is glass seed beads. All components are strung on beadalon wire.

The necklace measures about 21" in length, with the polymer focal components measuring approximately 3" across the width of the necklace and 2.25" in length.

    Shapes in Colour

My love of colours and shapes is represented by the mix of geometry and seamless elegance which can be dawned with any type of outfit. The piece was carefully researched and crafted to display the complexity of design in polymeric clay. The use of the memory wire and the Buna Cord allow a simple and clean design which adapts to different neck sizes without the need of a clasp or chain and it’s carefully finished with two drop shaped beads of polymeric clay at both ends of the wire. This piece is an accentuation of the relationship between perfect like geometry and imperfect beauty of handcrafted Italian Jewellery.

    Sumptuous Succulents

The warm organic nature of natural edge wood provides a perfect canvas for the curious shapes and playful colors of succulents. The range of inspiration comes from the mathematical patterns of rigid structures to organic, soft shapes, both found in succulents. While this brooch is a playful interpretation of succulents, it provides a beautiful and sumptuous compliment to the natural wood. The brooch is 3.5-inches tall by -2-inches wide. The polymer clay succulents are built on a sterling silver wire that is used to attach the piece to a Australian eucalyptus burl wood and create a tension spring and catch.

    Ancient Journey

Mark making, colors and textures join together in homage to Kandinsky. But the layers of shapes take it further to give it the feel of coming from ancient galaxies beyond our world, maybe something the ‘fifth element’ might wear. This is part of a series being developed that studies the difference between mimicking and inspiration. This pendant was ‘found’ along that journey and represents a step along that path. The pendant is 3.5-inches tall by 2-inches wide and combines polymer clay with embedded sterling silver findings while hanging from a hand-forged sterling silver chain.

    Space Balls

Whimsical mark making, pops of color and organic shapes are layered into this pendant. This pendant is a part of the series being developed inspired by Kandinsky. However, it has taken a tangent and evokes a more mid-century modern feel based upon the shapes used and the pops of colors suspended at the edges on wire. The pendant is 3-inches by 2-inches wide. The pendant combined polymer clay with embedded sterling silver findings.
