About the Artist
Lynn Yuhr's art is inspired by 2 things: a love of nature and the vivid colors that surround her living in Miami. She uses them as a focal point in her contemporary jewelry, art journals and mixed media endeavors. She loves being creative and is passionate about polymer clay. Exploring possibilities and overcoming obstacles in the construction of a project are her favorite parts of the creative process. Her diverse experiences directly influence her artistic life where she developed a playful yet distinctive style and a strong curiosity that propels her to follow the 'what ifs' and try new things. She holds a firm belief that the act of creating something softens one's heart and opens one's mind. With this philosophy, she readily shares her creative techniques and teaches both locally and nationally. Never at a loss for inspiration, Lynn's past and current work can be found on her studio blog, Flying Squirrel Studio (www.theflyingsquirrelstudio.wordpress.com), as well as Instagram (@lynnyuhr). She also shares many of her polymer experiences, travel and other artistic endeavors on these platforms.

Location
London, Ontario
Canada
About the Artist: Lyn Tremblay
Working with many different art mediums throughout her lifelong creative journey, Lyn began seriously experimenting with polymer clay about 12 years ago. Her passion for the medium has evolved from bead-making and jewellery art to the more recent creation of abstract wall art panels. She describes herself as an 'intuitive' artist, finding satisfaction and pleasure in exploring the 'what ifs' during play sessions. "Friends laugh when they watch me work," she says, "as I often tell them I am waiting for the clay to 'speak to me'. I truly believe, much of the time it leads the way and I just let my creative instincts follow." Working from her small studio in London, Ontario, Canada, Lyn has attended many polymer clay retreats over the years enjoying the camaraderie of artists, and benefiting from the knowledge gained through shared experiences. Her own work is shared through Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest and is for sale through local galleries and art shows.

About the Artist: Louise Smith
I was fortunate enough to be able to retire relatively early and have used my time to discover the joy of making things that I believe to be beautiful. I tried felting, bead weaving and bead embroidery, and now polymer clay. They are all wonderful, but polymer clay seems to be the best fit for me. I have found that the skills I have learned in one craft are often usable in another, as are so many of the art supplies! I love traveling to take polymer clay classes and to visit with the lovely people I have met through this medium.

About the Artist
Baum-Davis has been working as a metalsmith, silver clay artist and creating with polymer clays (PC) since the mid 1990's. She has won numerous awards with her art and had several polymer tutorials in polymer magazines. And two tutorials in a metal clay book dealing with color with the material. She retired from teaching the clays in 2017 because, "I wanted my studio to be completely my own. Not for teaching." Since then, she has been creating with various brands of PC's, by experimenting with surface techniques, sculpture and mold making. During the past she has used textured surfaces with alcohol inks, adding cold enamels, embossing powders and resin to her work. "I have the best of all possible worlds." Voltaire

About the Artist: Lola Marlene Gremillion
Marlene Gremillion is a sensitive person who enjoys life and her surroundings. She examines the beauty of nature especially in bright sunlight looking for the transparency in flowers and the shadows cast by objects onto another. Marlene explores visually varied subjects as shown in her paintings and collages along with her jewelry creations in wire, metal and her new love polymer clay and precious metal clay. Unable to put to words why she must create. "It's like I'm a child with a new toy, each time I pick up a medium. I've just got to have fun and see if I can make something." Melody
26cm x 26cm, Polymer clay
I was on my flight from Dublin to Riga at the end of Winter 2019 when an idea for this wreath or crown design started to form. I suppose thread has a symbolic meaning of connection. In the creation process, extruded polymer clay threads are twisted and aligned, mirroring our everyday thoughts; the invisible connections we make with nature, ourselves, family and community around us.
