About the Artist: Donna Baratta

My fascination with color, texture, and form in infinite combinations lead me to my passion: creating hand crafted, wearable art jewelry from polymer clay and beads that are embroidered and woven. This mixed media approach allows me to continue learning and exploring new possibilities with each block of clay and every stitch.

Donna is currently teaching classes in polymer clay, bead weaving, and bead embroidery at local art leagues. She holds BS, MS, MA, and Ed.D. degrees and continues to practice life-long learning.

Like the ebb and flow of the tides, our lives have flowed in one direction and then another these past two years. The tranquil watery colors are complimented by beaded clusters that sparkle like sunlight dancing upon the water hinting of brighter days ahead.
