About the Artist

Ann Duncan Hlavach specializes in polymer clay flowers with gemstone centers. Some of her flowers resemble the real thing, others have a Lewis Carroll twist. Ann loves to create a wide variety of blooms each to connect to a wide variety of people. She mystified by the magic of polymer and shares her own tricks promoting the art form of polymer clay publicly demonstrating during the Bristol Renaissance Faire at her booth, Ann Duncan Designs, making bespoke wedding pieces and through her work with the IPCA over the last several years.

Cindy's Bouquet

Cindy's Bouquet

10" diameter, Premo, Pearls, Swarovski crystals, reclaimed beads and wire.
Many of the reclaimed beads used as centers or filler were from the bride's secret stash. It was a great way for me to get a feel for her personal esthetic, to build her a fall inspired bouquet.

Hannah's Bouquet

10" diameter, Reclaimed brooches pearls and beads, Premo and wire.

She originally wanted a brooch bouquet, but then she saw my flowers. So we adapted the idea and put reclaimed brooches, pearls and various bling as flower centers and bouquet filler.

Then she told me she was wearing a third-generation wedding dress. So I made some roses win a translucent and white lace pattern to honor the lace in the dress. Grandma passed before the wedding, but her butterfly pin was put in the bouquet.

David's Boutonniere

2.5" x 5", Premo, gold leaf, reclaimed crystals and wire.

Most of the groomsmen had wine colored calla lily boutonnieres with white edges. However for the groom, I made a wine calla lily boutonniere with gold leaf edges holding a translucent and white polymer veneer created to honor the lace of the bride"s third generation wedding gown.
