About the Artist: Donna Greenberg
Her background is multidisciplinary, with professional explorations in ceramics, painting, jewelry, decorative finishes and murals. Donna follows her interest in the organisms that populate our natural world , interpreting them in an abstracted fantasy mode with polymer clay, paints, paper and various mixed media . Most recently focusing on a series of wall hung Bio-Systems and biomorphic vessels. When not working in her studio,, Donna travels extensively as an instructor and writer on the art and design of polymer for various publications Her work has won first prize in an international contest and is featured in the new book, Polymer Journeys 2019 as well as being represented by a number of art galleries in the US.

AMPHITRITES ROSARY
24 in. with 3-4 in. L beads- Ultralight clay, Genesis Paints, Leather cord.
A fantasy interpretation of natural coral, this large showpiece is created with 34 hand sculpted hollow beads and 50 small hand made spacers. Each piece is hand colored in a limited palette of sand and water tones with a touch of gold throughout. Amphitrite is a goddess associated with water and I imagine her happily wearing this. It is very light weight making this very wearable for the rest of us mortals.

Inspired by the swirl of colors and forms of Carnivale wall piece , this piece is a joyous exploration of the unity possible with polymer, paper and paint. The shapes raising up off the base and reaching out are inspired by classic Bas Relief process. An unexpected fusion of paper, polymer and paint! BLOOMING BUBBLES
Ultralight clay, Genesis paints, Liquid clay, repurposed metal tubing.
Inspired in part by the way bubbles gather and bond, dozens of hand formed hollow clay spheres were carefully built up to create this bubbling effect. I added the small blooms to indicate a moving transformation where the bubbles slowly burst into flora. 5 layers of Genesis Paints and liquid clay added depth and ore dimension to the finished piece .
