Maria Alexandrou and eight ladies of the Cyprus Polymer Clay Association are currently in England on a two week long Polymer Clay Teacher Training course with Sue Heaser. This has been organised through an EU initiative to enable groups from different European countries to study with a specialist in another country.
The ladies are working extremely hard and learning a lot of advanced techniques such as Sue's Pietre Dure, micro mosaic and applique. It is a fascinating time, sharing ideas and techniques. The classes are being held in an old Corn Hall in Diss, Nofolk - with the portraits of the ancient Mayors of the town staring down in surprise. Fortunately the UK weather is holding fine and fairly warm!

As you can see, we've done some remodeling on the IPCA Web site. Along with a cleaner look and better menu organization, we've added new software programs to make managing your membership even easier. The updated Member Menu, shown at right, allows you to:
- Update your contact information
- Update your Web site log in information
- Renew your membership
- Check your membership status
- View the current member roster
- Submit an article to the site
- Add an event to the calendar
Added 3-20-2011 - 2011 IPCA Member Badges for use on your Web site are available in the Downloads section (requires login).
One of the great new features we've added as a member benefit is the option to upload an image of your work, to be featured in a rotating banner on the front page of the IPCA Web site. While only one image can be used at a time, you are free to change the image as often as you wish. You can upload an image through the Update your Contact Information link on the User menu. The specifications for the image are as follows:
- 72 DPI (aka web quality)
- No larger than 200 px wide or tall
If you don't have software to update the image on your local machine, there are online photo editing sites such as http://www.picnik.com/ or http://fotoflexer.com/.
Shown below is a sample image that is 200px wide/tall.

We want your feedback, so please contact us with any questions (or compliments!). |
