sobe_pendantssm.jpgEach of the pendants shown here were molded in the cavity on the underside of a bottle of Sobe Life Water. If you're unfamiliar with the product, it's a 0-calorie fruit-flavored water with added vitamins. I believe it's marketed in countries other than the U.S. The bottles come in two designs: sunburst and flower petals. You can see the design by turning the bottle over before you buy it. This technique was introduced to me by Boo Ersham, a St. Petersburg, FL based artist. Boo first showed me how to embed rice paper prints into liquid polymer clay. I became so excited by this technique, I decided I had to share it with the world. The key ingredient in this project is the Krylon Workable Fixitif. This is a spray on fixative that keeps the ink in the inkjet prints from running. This allows you to coat the images with liquid polymer clay to embed into your project. This is a great alternative to the image transfer projects we have all struggled with, and provides a much more consistent result.

The pendants pictured below are an example of items made using this technique.
