On March 15th the Israeli polymer clay guild held its annual conference in Shfaiim kibbutz which is located on shore-line next to the Mediterranean Sea. In that meeting we celebrated 4 years anniversary which was sponsored by Israeli FIMO importer in Israel - "Atlas" company. There were 60 participants - all women :) During the meeting we summarized the yearly activities, workshops given - both international and local. During this year we had 10 different workshops around the country in various subjects - Surfaces in polymer clay, Julie Picarello workshops, rose canes, face sculpturing, pillow heart beads, Millefiori with no background, kaleidoscope, Jana Roberts Benzon workshops, X stitches in polymer clay and variations in making Millefiori petals.8 contests took place this year, subjects were - summer, cultures, winter, liquid polymer clay, faces, miniatures, Judaic and vintage. The forum managements have changed last September and we said goodbye to Naama Zamir and Roni Gur. The new acting manager is Mira (Pinki) Krispil. We thank the previous management for their work during the first years and wish Mira good luck in her new position. Few Demos took place in the event - Stamping on polymer clay by Netanela Kachlon, liquid polymer clay by Mira (pinki) Krispil, miniature pottery by Idit Zuta, using foil by Yonat Dascalu, 3D flower by Angela and carving in polymer clay by Mira (pinki) Krispil. A historical review about polymer clay and Staedler was given by "Atlas" CEO and a review on CFCF and Synergy 2010 - USA was given by Iris Mishly and Mira (Pinki) Krispil which participated in both events. A Vintage contest was the highlight of the day, some of the women were showing their work for the contest, judged by Eliran from aquarelle shop, Mira Krispil and "Atlas" CEO, 1st prize was given to Judith for making 2 beautiful vintage shoes, 2nd prize was given to Idit Bitton for making a vintage princess and 3rd place was given to Bruria Hochman for a vintage bowl. We made also swap between the girls that take a part on the event. In the next year we are planning more workshops (beaded cabochons, turtle sculpturing, and mosaic) and of course more contests in various subjects and materials. On June 2010 - a 2 days event is planned with full length workshops and demos, a great social and professional event to look forward to. On October 2010 we will host Louise Fischer Cozzi for an Israeli Tour of workshops around the country. 2009 was a fabulous year and we are certain that 2010 will be even greater! Thank you to all the people how help for making this event The pictures from the event and winning art works can be viewed in our slide show .
