Information:

I am a Town Comptroller in "real life", but find pleasure and relaxation in jewelry making. Certified in all 3 metal clay programs, and a Senior Instructor for Art Clay World, I moved from stained and fused glass to beading, wire wrapping and metal clay when my mother was diagnosed with cancer, and I found myself spending long hours in doctors' offices and hospitals. Beaded bracelets with metal clay charms became "thank you" gifts to doctors, nurses and technicians who helped ease my mother's suffering. I began using polymer clay to make molds for metal clay. Then I was introduced to the the joys of the Skinner Blend at the MA-NH guilds' first Klay Karma retreat in Framingham, MA, in 2005 and the rest was history.

A class junkie, I've been fortunate to study with many of Polymer and Metal Clays' great instructors. Now, in addition to stained and fused glass, I teach both Polymer Clay and Metal Clay in the metro Boston area, paying forward what I've learned to others. In my "spare" time, I''m making polymer jewelry and taking part in the Metal Clay Masters Registry program. When I retire in early 2013, I hope to expand my teaching to venues further afield, combining my loves of polymer and travel.

Through the MA and NH Polymer Clay guilds and IPCA's Synergies and annual Retreats, I've made friends with so many talented artists in the Polymer Clay community from all over teh US and Canada and around the world- and learned so much from them.
